Got a little hairy last nite finding a place to camp. Big Sur is beautiful and also mostly undeveloped. The state parks did not allow advance reservations and as we drove into the night we found again and again, no room at the inn.

Finally, we cut a deal to camp in an overflow lot, some kind of a day area.

The girls were a little wound up and agitated so, we outside to play some games in the parking area. It was DARK. And isolated. Eerie. We scared each other silly, then wrapped up in sleeping bags to finally sleep.
