More Big Sur driving to Monterey for a short visit just bc it was on the way. The woods off the road remind me of the Hansel and Gretel storybook. Gorgeous soaring redwoods.

Lots of sailboats in Monterey.

Also we found a really cool playground that we ALL enjoyed rumning around.

Later, walked over to the pier and watched seals playing and had clam chowder samples out the whazoo. At least I kept telling my kids not to decline the many free samples! Eat up, this is lunch!
